๐ฏ Your Mission
As the Digital Channels Manager, you will take full ownership of our end-to-end digital footprint. While leading the rollout of our new corporate rebranding for The Ocean Race Round-The-World 2027 website, your scope extends far beyond web architecture.
You will manage and optimize a diverse digital ecosystem โ overseeing app updates, internal platforms like RaceNet, web story publishing, and the distribution of press releases and newsletters. You will be the strategic guardian of digital performance and brand consistency, guiding internal teams, content creators, and external web agencies to deliver seamless digital experiences across all channels.
๐ What Youโll Be Doing
- End-to-End Digital Ecosystem Ownership: Take charge of our full suite of digital touchpoints, from our primary website and mobile app to specialized platforms like RaceNet.
- World Race Website & Rebranding Rollout: Lead the architecture, look, feel, and navigation of our main website as we roll out the new corporate identity ahead of the Round-The-World 2027 race.
- Content Publishing & Distribution: Oversee day-to-day distribution of digital content, including web stories, global press releases, media distribution tools, and newsletters.
- App & Platform Operations: Manage ongoing updates, feature testing, and operational maintenance for The Ocean Race App and the RaceNet platform.
- Digital Performance & UX First: Drive traffic, user experience (UX), and engagement across all channels, continuously optimizing platform performance.
- Brand Consistency: Act as the ultimate guardian of brand consistency across all digital platforms, ensuring strict alignment with The Ocean Raceโs brand guidelines and tone of voice.
- Agency & Vendor Management: Coordinate with external web development providers, app developers, and tech vendors for ongoing platform support, troubleshooting, and major upgrades.
- Reporting & Analytics: Monitor site performance, produce detailed reports on platform analytics (GA4), and proactively flag user experience or functionality issues.
- Team Support & Leadership: Identify areas requiring user training (e.g., CMS), assist in documenting procedures, and provide support to staff who use our online tools.
- Live Event Support: Be available during racing periods (including an โon-callโ rota over evenings and weekends) to provide out-of-hours support and ensure smooth digital operations when the fleet is at sea.

Minimum requirements
๐งฉ What Weโre Looking For
- Ecosystem Leader: Strong strategic vision for web/app architecture, UX/UI, multi-channel publishing, and rolling out brand identities at scale.
- Multi-Platform Specialist: Hands-on experience managing websites, mobile apps, specialized platforms, and digital publishing workflows.
- Distribution & Performance Savvy: Good understanding of digital analytics (GA4), with a focus on digital best practices and performance optimization across channels.
- Project Manager: Proven track record coordinating web agencies, app developers, and cross-functional teams.
- Tech-Savvy: Solid knowledge of CMS platforms, HTML/CSS basics, app release lifecycles, and direct-to-audience tools (newsletters/push notifications).
- Calm Under Pressure: A structured thinker who thrives in high-activity live event environments and quickly resolves technical or operational bottlenecks.
- Great Communicator: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
โ Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in digital platform management, web projects, or a similar managerial role.
- High level of written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to be based in or relocate to Alicante (Spain).
- EU national status or the ability to obtain the necessary EU working permits.
