The Ocean Race takes place every three to five years and is the world’s longest professional sporting event and leading offshore sailing competition with professional crews racing around the world.

Sitting at the intersection of top-level sport and sustainability, The Ocean Race is a relevant and authentic storytelling platform – the ocean is our racetrack, and nature drives us. Sustainability remains at the heart of everything we do.

Following the success of The Ocean Race Atlantic, our eyes are set on the 15th edition of the iconic race, The Ocean Race Round the World 2027, which will start in Alicante, Spain, in January 2027. The fleet of IMOCAs will travel to global stopovers across the world over up to seven months, connecting oceans and communities along the way.
