📍 Location: Based in Alicante in July (pre-race) + traveling to European host cities during the race (from August till end of September).

Through bold storytelling and cutting-edge digital content, we engage millions of fans worldwide. For The Ocean Race Europe 2025, we’re seeking a talented and energetic On-the-Road Content Creator to help bring the race to life across digital platforms.
About the Role
As our On-the-Road Content Creator, you’ll be embedded with the race - on the ground, behind the scenes, and in the middle of the action. From dockside energy to team moments, host city culture to high-adrenaline race sequences, your job is to capture the emotion, speed, and story of the Race and turn it into fast, scroll-stopping content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
You’ll work closely with our Social Media Manager and Video team to deliver platform-native, high-frequency content that grows our audience, keeps fans engaged, and attracts new communities to the sport.
Key Responsibilities
⛵ Pre-Race (Alicante):
- Collaborate on content planning and ideation for the editorial calendar.
- Prepare race coverage strategy and visual storytelling plans.
🌏 During the Race (Host Cities Across Europe):
- Capture and edit real-time short-form video content, including:
- Sailors, teams, and racing action.
- Fan zones, activations, and local culture.- Behind-the-scenes and emotional moments.
- Publish platform-optimized videos daily (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, etc.)
- React quickly to viral trends and race developments.
- Work cross-functionally with on-ground teams for smooth media access.
- Support scheduling, captioning, and copywriting in English.
✅ General Support & Event Contribution
- Assist colleagues in the production and success of The Ocean Race event.
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives, reflecting The Ocean Race’s commitment to ocean conservation.

Minimum requirements
🎯 Creative & Technical Skills
- A strong portfolio of short-form content (ideally in sport, live events, or lifestyle).
- Confident filming and editing content with mobile or compact camera gear.
- Proficiency in one or more tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, Canva.
- Sharp visual storytelling instincts and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram Reels & YouTube Shorts best practices.
🎯 Content Strategy & Social Media
- Understanding of platform algorithms, digital trends, and viral mechanics.
- Experience building or growing a social following, particularly on TikTok and Instagram.
- Ability to pitch and shape original, shareable formats.
- Solid grasp of brand voice, tone, and community engagement.
